The DisplayPort to HDMI Cable supports uncompressed 7.1 Audio and compressed audio such as DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD. Please note that audio output over HDMI is only supported when the graphics card of the notebook or desktop computer supports audio output over DisplayPort.
